Training

Our Share the Skills programme enables us to share our skills with professionals and caregivers in the community as well as individuals looking to build their confidence through group activities.

We regularly run the AQA accredited training course TAKING PART IN A COMMUNITY ARTS PROJECT. This gives participants an understanding of how rhythm can be applied in a social and therapeutic setting and offers useful insights and practical ideas that people can take away with them. The course includes:

  • Gaining an understanding of the main principles behind Beat It Percussion’s work with rhythm

  • Participating in a range of practical exercises

  • Considering health and safety aspects

  • Working collaboratively with other participants to design and present new exercises

  • Becoming competent at leading at least 2 different rhythm exercises.

We recruit and train volunteers to support our organisation in a variety of roles. Please get in touch if you would like to know more about volunteering with us.
